The Faculty of Law was represented at the International Insolvency Days, under the aegis of the Henri Capitant Association

Between 1-3 June 2026, the Romanian group of the Henri Capitant Association participated in the International Insolvency Days, held in Rio de Janeiro.

The Romanian report was prepared by Lect. univ. dr. Sergiu Golub, Lect. univ. dr. Adina Buciuman and Asist. univ. dr. Dorin Jorea, all from the Faculty of Law of the Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca. During the conference, on the first day of the debates, Dorin Jorea also presented the main aspects of Romanian law, under the coordination of the general rapporteur, Ms. Sheila Christina Neder Cerezetti.

The second day addressed the insolvency of laypeople. The Romanian report was prepared by professors Lucian Bercea (Faculty of Law, West University of Timișoara), Alexandru Rățoi and Andra Trandafir (Faculty of Law, University of Bucharest). Professor Alexandru Ratoi presented the main conclusions of the Romanian report to the public, under the coordination of the General Rapporteur, Ms. Michèle Grégoire.

The participants then took part in several workshops dedicated to various insolvency-related topics, providing valuable opportunities for experience exchange and comparative analysis.
