• 7–9 September 2026, until 2:00 p.m.: Online registration of candidates for the PhD admission competition via the dedicated admission platform – (https://admitere.ubbcluj.ro/)

• 10 September 2026 – PhD admission examination at the Faculty of Law, 10–12 General Traian Moşoiu Street.

The PhD admission examination consists of two stages:

a) Written examination in the relevant field, based on a syllabus established and announced by the PhD supervisor. Time: 9:00 a.m. – Room 106

b) Interview, during which the candidate’s scientific interests, research skills and proposed PhD thesis topic will be assessed. Time: 12:00 p.m. –  Room 106

• 15–16 September 2026, until 2:00 p.m.:Confirmation of the acceptance of the allocated places, online via the admission platform, followed by the submission of the required documents in physical format at the Secretariat of the Doctoral School.

The final results for the PhD admission exam were posted on July 25, 2026.

The results of the PhD admission exam were posted on July 23, 2026, at  2 pm.

Appeals can be sent by email to simona.pop@law.ubbcluj.ro until July 24, 2026, at 2 pm.

Confirmations will take place between July 24 and July 27, 2026, by 1:00 PM.

The LAW Doctoral School organizes two types of doctoral university study programs:

a) Scientific doctorate – organized in the form of full-time or part-time education – places on the budget (with or without a scholarship) or with a fee.

The scientific doctorate is the basis for a professional career in higher education and research.

b) Professional doctorate – places on the budget or with a fee organized in the form of full-time or part-time education.

a) A written specialty exam, based on a topic announced by the doctoral advisor -9 am – room 106;

b) An interview during which the candidate’s scientific interests, research skills and the proposed topic for the doctoral thesis are analyzed – 12 pm, room 106

• 24 – 27 July 2026, until 2 p.m. – Confirmation of the spot- must be done both online, via the admissions platform and on site/in person, by submitting the necessary documents to the secretariat of the Doctoral School of Law – Str. General Traian Moșoiu, no. 10-12.
