Participation in the Congress of the International Academy of Comparative Law
Published:
From September 28 to October 2, 2026, the Faculty of Law was represented by our colleagues—Associate Professors Diana Botău, Alina Oprea, and Adina Buciuman, along with Dr. Ioan Șumandea-Simionescu—at the 22nd Congress of the International Academy of Comparative Law. Hosted this year by Humboldt University of Berlin, the Congress also marked the centenary of UNIDROIT (the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law).
Held every four years, the Academy’s Congress brings together the international academic community to facilitate the exchange of ideas and shape the future evolution of law by examining its various branches from a comparative perspective. The event encompasses the full spectrum of legal disciplines while fostering complex scholarly, social, and global debates, thereby engaging both the academic community and legal practitioners.
Our colleagues presented national and/or special reports on topics such as: Teaching Comparative Law Subjects, Private International Law in Investment Arbitration, Digitizing the Law: Influence and Challenges of Technology for Legal Education Models, and The Innovative Complements and Substitutes for Contracts.
