The Faculty of Law contributes, through Cosmin Costaș, to the major work Taxing Real Estate (Ownership) (IBFD, Amsterdam, 2026).

The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce the publication of a chapter on real estate taxation in Romania within the major work edited by M. Radvan, Taxing Real Estate (Ownership) (IBFD, Amsterdam, 2026). Associate Professor Cosmin Flavius ​​Costaș from the Faculty of Law, together with Professor Mihaela Tofan from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași, authored the contribution regarding Romania.

The volume comprises the National Reports from the 2025 Congress of the European Association of Tax Law Professors (EATLP) held in Bergen, Norway.

This 24th volume in the EATLP International Tax Series spans 1,107 pages. The General Report is authored by Professor Michal Radvan (Masaryk University, Brno), while the thematic reports are contributed by Joan Youngsman, Riel Franzsen, William McCluskey, and Stefanie Geringer.

The work includes national reports for: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, the People’s Republic of China, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kosovo, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the United States of America.

Chapter 32 focuses on Romania and spans pages 827 to 848 of the work. Cosmin Costaș and Mihaela Tofan authored the National Report for the 2025 EATLP Conference in Athens and are currently preparing the National Report for the 2027 EATLP Conference in Lyon. These publications are particularly significant as they address contemporary tax law topics from a comparative perspective and enjoy a high level of visibility.
