The LAW Doctoral School organizes two types of doctoral university study programs:

a) scientific doctorate – organized in full-time or part-time form of education. The scientific doctorate constitutes the basis for a professional career in higher education and research;

b) professional doctorate – organized in full-time or part-time form of education.

will be organized in two sessions:

A. JULY 2025 SESSION – COMPLETED

B. SEPTEMBER 2025 SESSION for the following doctoral supervisors:

1. Prof. dr. MATEUȚ Gheorghiță – 2 places with fee
2. Prof. dr. PODARU Ovidiu – Laurențiu – 1 place with fee
3. Prof. dr. POPA Ionuț – Florin – 1 place budget-Romanians from all over the world + 1 place with fee
4. Prof. dr. DRAGOȘ Dacian – Cosmin – 1 place budget, without scholarship

• September 8-11, 2025, until 2:00 p.m.: ONLINE registration of candidates for the admission competition, in the dedicated admission platform https://admitere.ubbcluj.ro/;
• September 12, 2025: admission competition – ONSITE- at the Faculty of Law headquarters Str. General Traian Moșoiu, no. 10-12, (written test and oral test): 9:00 a.m. – written test and 12:00 p.m. – oral test in the AVRAM IANCU room (106)

The doctoral admission competition consists of two tests:

a) a written specialty test, based on a topic announced by the doctoral supervisor;

b) an interview during which the candidate’s scientific interests, research abilities, and proposed doctoral thesis topic are evaluated.

– September 17-18, 2025, until 2:00 p.m. – confirmation of placement, ONLINE in the admission platform https://admitere.ubbcluj.ro/;

– September 17-18, 2025 (between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.) – confirmation of placement ONLINE by submitting the necessary documents PHYSICALLY to the Doctoral School secretariat

Annual tuition fee – 5,500 lei (of which the first installment of 1375 will be paid upon confirmation of places)

PhD thesis defense fee – 5,000 lei
