A New University Course: M.D. Bob-Bocșan, Manual de succesiuni și liberalități (2025)

We are pleased to announce the publication of a new university course signed by a professor of the Faculty of Law in Cluj: M.D. Bob-Bocșan, Manual de successioniuni și liberalități, Ed. Universul Juridic, Bucharest, 2025.
The Manual contains an essential exposition of Succession Law, coming from one of the authors of the regulation in the Civil Code. The target audience is undergraduate students, as well as any lawyer interested in a synthetic exposition of the relevant issues in the matter. The explanations focus on three aspects: 1) the guidelines of Succession Law; 2) the primary meaning of the texts in the Romanian Civil Code that have a tangent to inheritances and liberalities; 3) the main practical difficulties and current theoretical controversies.
The objective of the Manual is to provide a sufficient set of notions to address the main problems that the student will later face in practice. Consequently:
– the author gave priority to the exposition of the basic rules, which clarify the fundamental mechanisms of the analyzed matter;
– only the theoretical controversies that have influenced or may influence current practice have been reported;
– the doctrinal details that are outdated in jurisprudence and legislation, those born from isolated cases and those erroneously borrowed from the practice and theory of the previous Civil Code have been left aside.
