Conference “Civil Procedure – From Theory to Practice and Back”

On 5 July 2025, the Faculty of Law hosted the conference “Civil Procedure – From Theory to Practice and Back”. Now in its third edition, the event was once again organized by the Cluj Bar Association in collaboration with INPPA – Cluj Regional Centre and the Faculty of Law, Babeș-Bolyai University, in partnership with Hamangiu Publishing House and with the support of the National Union of Romanian Bar Associations. The event took place as part of the Cluj Bar Days, which this year celebrated its 150th anniversary.

Before a large and engaged audience, the conference featured three discussion panels and welcomed distinguished guests: President of the National Union of Romanian Bar Associations, Traian Briciu; Dean of the Cluj Bar, Flavia Maier; Director of INPPA – Cluj Regional Centre, Stanca Gidro.

The conference speakers addressed highly topical issues, including:: Issues concerning legal representation by counsel (Professor Dr. Traian Briciu); Current issues regarding documentary evidence in electronic format (Associate Professor Șerban Diaconescu); Penalty as a means of enforcing specific performance (Judge Roxana Dan); Is the peremption of enforcement proceedings still relevant?  (Șerban Mircioiu, Lawyer)
