Selection for the formation of the team that will represent the Faculty of Law at the international mock trial competition Central and Eastern European Moot Competition 2026

The Department of Public Law of the Faculty of Law is organizing a selection to form the team that will represent the Faculty of Law at the international mock trial competition Central and Eastern European Moot Competition (CEEMC), edition 2026.
CEEMC is a mock trial competition dedicated to the countries of Central and Eastern Europe whose theme is the debate of a preliminary reference before the Court of Justice of the European Union. This year the competition will take place in Timișoara between 1-3 May 2026.

Here you can study the rules of the competition, the practical case, the questions from the preliminary reference, as well as the collection of CJEU judgments that constitute support in the preparation of written and oral observations (Bundle of Materials). The competition jury is made up of judges of the CJEU, university professors and other legal professionals.
To express their intention to participate in the selection, interested students will send a CV and a short motivation letter (both in English), no later than Tuesday, February 17, 2026 to the email address diana.ionescu@law.ubbcluj.ro. Advanced English knowledge is a mandatory requirement. The team will consist of 4 students. The actual preselection will take place following an interview that will be scheduled after receiving the declarations of intent.
