The Faculty of Law organizes the Doctoral School of Law (public and private law). Doctoral studies are open to all candidates holding a master’s degree or an equivalent academic degree.
The goal is to train researchers in law at the highest level of international competitiveness. The Doctoral School is headed by a director responsible for the day-to-day management and is accountable to the Council for doctoral studies.
The mission of the Doctoral school is to organize the recruitment of future PhD students through a public and transparent procedure in the context of the general policy of the university ; to ensure the scientific quality of mentoring doctoral students by personalizing their work, while ensuring the best conditions for the development of their doctoral thesis. The aim is also to ensure that doctoral students learn the research methods of law, based on continental law and comparative methods, as well as on the EU law.
The doctoral training is designed to best meet the major current topics in legal research and to be able to adapt to the future ones. The Doctoral School can support scientific and intellectual exchange between doctoral students of the doctoral schools in the university, as well as with national and international partners of the university.
The Doctoral School supports joint doctoral degrees. This objective is pursued through collaborative actions with partner higher education institutions.
